Morning

8:00 AM – Breakfast at Station Coffee Co

9:00 AM – Visit Medalta in the Historic Clay District

Address: 713 Medalta Avenue SE, Medicine Hat

Explore the history of Medicine Hat’s clay industry at this national historic site. The museum offers interactive exhibits and tours that are fun for the whole family.  There is also kids programming, including pottery lessons.

11:00 AM – Stroll Through Police Point Park

Address: 1001 Police Point Drive NE, Medicine Hat

Enjoy a leisurely walk in this serene park along the South Saskatchewan River. It’s a perfect spot for birdwatching and letting the kids run around. Some of the trees in the park are over 300 years old!

Midday

12:30 PM – Lunch at Argo’s Restaurant

Enjoy a casual lunch at this very family-oriented restaurant, with its classic comfort food.

2:00 PM – Explore the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre

Address: 401 1 Street SE, Medicine Hat

Discover local art, history, and culture at the Esplanade. The center features an art gallery, museum, and theatre with rotating exhibits and performances.

4:00 PM – Discover Saamis Tepee

Directions: On the Trans-Canada Highway next to Tourism Medicine Hat

Visit the world’s tallest tepee, a stunning landmark and symbol of Medicine Hat’s indigenous heritage. The site offers panoramic views and interpretive displays about local history.

Evening

5:30 PM – Dinner at The Mexican Hat

Address: 70c 8 Street Northwest, Medicine Hat

A very relaxed meal in a family-friendly establishment, with lots of finger food for energy depleted bellies.

7:00 PM – Sunset Walk Along the Riverside Veterans’ Memorial Park

Directions:  Located across from City Hall, 580 1 Street SE, Medicine Hat

Take a relaxing stroll along the riverfront and enjoy the beautiful sunset. The park offers scenic views and a peaceful environment to end your day.

8:30 PM – Dessert at Swirls Ice Cream

This Medicine Hat original is celebrating their 40th year of operation!  Treat the family to some delicious ice cream at this local favorite. They offer a wide variety of flavors and toppings.
